About Keith

Hi, my name is Keith Hirsch. I am a counselor, musician, surfer, Buddhist practitioner, and student of  Five Element acupuncture. When I was 18, I realized my life’s purpose was to integrate Buddhist teachings on mindfulness and compassion with counseling and guiding people to return to the Heart. My work is informed by over a decade of rigorous study and meditative training. I have spent much of my life learning and transforming from my own personal challenges so that I can clearly reflect my client’s wisdom and innate freedom back to them.

Since time immemorial, people have looked to their older brothers, sisters and wise elders for guidance, encouragement and challenge on the path. My approach is warm-hearted and straightforward. I specialize in helping young people find their North Star and address whatever challenges stand in their way. By getting grounded in the moment with a clear vision of the future, we can overcome whatever is challenging us.

I’ve received an Masters in Transpersonal Counseling at Naropa University in 2020 and a B.A. Cum Laude in Psychology from Chapman University. I’ve worked and served at Naropa Community Counseling, Boulder Jails, Santa Fe Interfaith Homeless Shelter, Tripler Army Medical Center, and the National Center for PTSD is Honolulu, HI.

We are all pretty hard on ourselves, and learning to bring warmth and kindness to our shortcomings and humanity is a life-affirming and wholeheartedly positive experience, which I convey to my clients. In coaching and counseling, the main thing is finding a good fit, a natural connection. Feel free to schedule a fifteen-minute call to see if that is the case here.

Aloha,
Keith Hirsch, MA, LPCC
